Former bank official sentenced in SBA loan scam

DETROIT - A former Detroit-area bank official has been sentenced to two years in prison for her role in defrauding the Small Business Administration. The U.S. attorney’s office says Deborah Lazenby also was given five years of supervised release and ordered to pay nearly $4 million in restitution. The 49-year-old Canton Township resident and former assistant vice president of Huntington National Bank had pleaded guilty to conspiracy and misapplication of bank funds.
